北京消化设计是北京消化服装设计工作室有限公司旗下品牌。消化设计工作间 Digest Design Workshop 成立于2010年，北京。［消］为成衣线，［化］为概念线，两者互补，组成完整系列。「消化」是一个克制的工作室，热衷也善于做多层次的探索和实践，不做没有意识的出品。「消化」相信，传统与先锋不是对立的两面。怎么去融合「传统与现代」，「手工温度与工业强度」产生的冲突，是我们一直在为东方的现代性去积极探索的内容。这个融合的过程，令我们深深着迷。 至此，我们明确了「消化」在未来，至少五年内的创作和发展方向：磨练技术，但不被其奴役；顺势当下，但不随波逐流；回应生活，但不在其中蹉跎。 In 2010, the Digest Design Workshop [DDW] was initiated in Beijing, China. DIGEST is mainly for ready-to-wear line, and HUA for concept works line. These two lines complement each other and create one symbiotic system. We are a self-possessed workshop, passionate about and adept in doing multi-layered exploration and practice, instead of designing unconsciously. We believe that the tradition and avant-garde are not opposite. All of the created works are sophistical if they are dissociated from life. We have been looking actively for the proper way in which we could fuse the conflicts between tradition and modernity, as well as handmade temperature and industrial strength. We consider this fusion as Eastern Modernity, meanwhile, this fusing process fascinate DDW. At this point, in the coming five years, the creating and developing direction in DDW has been clear and definite - to sharpen professional skills but not be enslaved; to follow-through the moment but not just go along with it; to response to real life but not get lost and idle away.
