Under the leadership of a renown Shanghainese artist, Li Shoubai– the Creative Director of the company – we have rapidly developed into one of the leading cultural platforms in Shanghai that strives to preserve and revive Chinese Haipai culture - a unique fusion of local and foreign cultures, emerged in the 1920s - 1930s, that turned the city of Shanghai into a thriving and extravagant metropolis. Ever since its inauguration, Shoubai Art Center has been involved in art management, creative design, cultural heritage preservation projects, educational programs, and art commissioning for a diverse range of organizations. We aspire to be an oasis of a unique local flavor. Using different approaches and media, our team is fully committed to telling the story of Shanghai. We actively engage in creative tandems and co-branding projects that aim to represent and promote the spirit of Haipai in and beyond the city of Shanghai.
